Common Dacor Error Codes
Seeing one of these codes? Here's what it means and what you can safely check before calling.
Temperature sensor out of range — the sensor measuring cabinet or oven temperature has failed.
Do not use the appliance while E1 is active. Try a 60-second power reset at the breaker. If E1 returns, the temperature sensor needs replacement — a straightforward technician repair on Dacor appliances.
Door position switch fault — the oven doesn't detect the door as fully closed.
Inspect the oven door seal and latch for obstructions. Close the door firmly. If E7 persists, the door-position switch has failed and needs replacement by a technician. Self-clean will lock out until resolved.
Over-temperature protection triggered — the appliance detected a temperature above safe limits.
Do not operate the appliance. Wait 30 minutes for it to cool, then reset power at the breaker. If EO returns, the temperature control system or a sensor has failed — call a technician. Repeated EO codes without resolution can damage internal components.
Electronic control board fault — the main control board has detected an internal error or communication failure.
Do a full power reset: turn off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore. E5 sometimes clears after a reset if a power surge caused it. If E5 returns within a day, the control board has an internal fault and needs replacement by a Dacor-trained technician. Dacor control boards are model-specific — confirm your model number before ordering.
Temperature probe short circuit — the oven temperature sensor is shorted (reading a fixed abnormally low value).
F3 is the opposite of E1: instead of an open circuit, the probe is shorted. Oven temperatures will be out of control — do not bake. Try a 60-second power reset; F3 very rarely self-clears. The temperature probe needs physical replacement by a technician. This is typically a quick repair on Dacor ovens.

Check the display for error codes
Dacor appliances surface fault codes on the display or the Dacor iQ app. Note the exact code — Dacor's manual maps common codes, and some error states clear by disconnecting power at the breaker for 60 seconds.

For smart models: check the Wi-Fi and app connection
Dacor's connected ranges and refrigerators route some control functions through the app. A lost Wi-Fi connection can trigger a control-panel lockout that looks like a hardware fault — reconnect the appliance to the network before calling.

Confirm power supply and gas supply
Verify the appliance is connected and the dedicated circuit breaker hasn't tripped. For dual-fuel models, also confirm the gas shutoff valve behind the range is fully open.

Inspect door seals and oven gaskets
Run your hand around the oven or refrigerator door gasket. Dacor's modern frameless door design puts stress on the gasket at the corners — check there first for gaps that cause temperature loss.

Do not attempt control-board or sealed-system repairs
Dacor's Samsung-era platform control boards require brand-specific programming tools. The column refrigeration systems use a proprietary sealed circuit that must be serviced by a trained technician with the correct refrigerant license.
