Bosch Repair — FAQ
How much does Bosch appliance repair cost in Northern Virginia?+
Bosch repair costs vary by fault and model. We diagnose the problem on-site and give you a firm, upfront price before any work begins — no hidden fees. Every repair comes with a 90-day warranty.
Do you service all Bosch models?+
Yes — we work on the full Bosch lineup. Bosch's near-silent dishwashers, induction cooktops, and 800-Series wall ovens are precision-engineered, with the PrecisionWash sensors and AutoAir drying systems that set them apart.
Is it worth repairing a Bosch appliance?+
In most cases, yes. Bosch appliances are built to last significantly longer than standard brands — repair costs are typically a fraction of replacement cost. We'll give you an honest assessment and won't recommend a repair that doesn't make financial sense.

Common Bosch Error Codes
Seeing one of these codes? Here's what it means and what you can safely check before calling.
Water detected in the base tray — AquaStop flood protection has triggered, cutting water supply.
Tilt the dishwasher forward slightly (pull the front feet up) to drain the base tray, then leave it for 30 minutes to dry. If E15 clears after drying and does not return, a small splash triggered AquaStop. If E15 returns immediately on the next cycle, a hose, pump seal, or water softener has developed a leak — call a technician.
Drain blocked or drain pump fault — the dishwasher cannot drain water from the tub.
Remove and clean the drain filter assembly at the base of the tub (counterclockwise to remove). Also check that the drain hose at the back of the dishwasher isn't kinked. A blocked filter resolves most E24 codes. If E24 persists after cleaning, the drain pump or check valve needs a technician.
Door latch fault — the dishwasher doesn't register that the door is fully closed.
Inspect the door latch and catch for debris or damage. Close the door firmly to confirm full engagement. If E01 persists, the door latch mechanism or door-closed switch has failed — a quick technician repair.
Heating element fault — the heating element that raises water temperature during the wash and drying cycle has failed.
E09 means dishes will not be sanitized and the drying cycle will not function correctly. A power reset (turn off breaker for 60 seconds) may clear a transient fault. If E09 returns, the heating element or its thermal fuse needs replacement by a technician. This is a common Bosch repair and usually completed in a single visit.
Drain pump blocked — the drain pump impeller is obstructed by debris or the filter basket is severely blocked.
Remove and thoroughly clean the filter assembly (the cylindrical filter plus the flat mesh filter below it). Also check the drain pump area visible beneath the filter for hard debris (a broken glass shard, food stone). Clear any debris you find. If E25 persists after thorough cleaning, the drain pump impeller is damaged and needs replacement by a technician.

Before You Call — 5 Safe Checks
A few quick checks can save a service call — or give our technician a head start when you do call.
- 1
Check the display for error codes
Bosch appliances display error codes on the panel (e.g., E15 water-in-base, E24 drain, 04 door lock). Note the exact code — Bosch's manual and app map each code to a specific component, and several codes clear with a power reset.
- 2
Inspect and clean the drain filter
Bosch dishwashers have a filter assembly at the base of the tub that requires monthly cleaning. A clogged filter causes standing water, poor cleaning results, and E24/E25 drain errors — the single most common Bosch service call and often self-resolving once cleaned.
- 3
Confirm power supply and circuit breaker
Verify the appliance is connected and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Bosch heat-pump dryers and dishwashers can draw a brief high-amperage spike that trips a shared circuit.
- 4
Check water supply valves and inlet hose
For dishwashers and washing machines: confirm the supply valve is fully open and the inlet hose isn't kinked. A restricted inlet triggers E-series fill errors that mimic pump or valve failures.
- 5
Do not open the control board or attempt internal pump repairs
Bosch appliances use European-spec control boards with region-specific firmware. DIY board replacement without the correct programming will not restore function — a Bosch-experienced technician carries the correct part paired with the matching software.
